Business First began as a B2B magazine in West Sussex, growing in 2007 to cover the SE of England before entering the London market in 2011.
The philosophy is simple – to inform, entertain and occasionally provoke our target readership, which is senior business people and entrepreneurs in London. We reach them via high quality racks in some of the top business addresses in Canary Wharf, the City and Central London. See our distribution page for more details.
While sticking a policy of non-partisanship, the magazine is often highly political, judging the political classes on their attention to the needs of business. By and large, they fall far short of expectations.
The magazine was conceived by Nick Peters, a long-time journalist and foreign correspondent for the Sunday Times, BBC and LBC/IRN before moving into business magazine publishing in 2004. Sales and marketing are handled by Nicholas Hall, who has handled advertising sales for a variety of major magazines and newspapers, including Le Soir in Belgium. He joined Business First in 2006.
